You will be working closely with the Managing Director and Senior Management Team. You, The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the manufacturing shift teams to produce the highest standard of product with maximum efficiency.

The Operations Manager will:

• Deliver an efficient operation to ensure that customers’ orders are produced on time, safely, to the correct standard of quality and at or below budgeted cost.
• To ensure that all products are manufactured in accordance with good manufacturing practice and the Company’s quality manual.
• Take ownership of manufacturing challenges, identifying through root cause analysis opportunities for improvement, both through equipment and human performance.
• Lead the development, training and motivation of your teams, ensuring they have the capability to high perform in their roles.
• Be responsible for goods-in and goods-out leading the process flow of product through its life-cycle. Working to ensure the supply chain is in place to support long term growth.
• Improvement in production / materials planning to minimise working capital.
• Manage the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System (Solvitt) as required for the production and supply chain process.
• Oversee the warehousing operations and transport functions.
• Be capable of solving complex challenges and leading the team through change.
• Provide regular progress updates to Managing Director.
• Responsible for H&S for Operations functions.

The Successful Applicant

• You must be an animal lover!
• The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading a manufacturing operation within FMCG or related sector. Experience of supply chains is a must!
• You will have a qualification in lean or six-sigma having delivered improvements in manufacturing efficiency.
• The Operations Manager will be commercially strong, having been responsible for manufacturing and / or supply chain budget relating to labour and materials.
• Experience of implementing / maintaining ERP System as well as staff management experience.
• Awareness of Food Standards.
• Hold a Recognised H&S qualification.

 Due to our location, it’s essential that you have your own transport, as the site isn’t accessible via public transport.
