Salary: £20,000 – £25,000pa DOE

Hours: Generally, 0500 – 1700hrs 6 days a week, with a break for breakfast and lunch.

Here at VF Recruitment, we are helping our clients, a busy family run calf rearing organisation, find their next hire. The company is very well established and well respected.

Due to retirement, the role my clients are recruiting for is a Youngstock Rearing Assistant to join their busy calf rearing unit.

You will be responsible for all of the younger calves across the site.

Calf Rearing and Agricultural knowledge and experience is a must as is being physically fit and flexible with working hours.

Role

Generally, 0500 – 1700hrs 6 days a week, with a break for breakfast and lunch.

The role includes:

• Bedding hutches
• Steam cleaning
• JCB operating
• Telehandler operating
• Starting calves to drink milk
• Assisting with general farm maintenance

Person Specification

Qualifications & Experience

• Calf Rearing and Agricultural knowledge and experience is a must.
• Diploma in Animal Nutrition is desirable.
• An excellent understanding of Farming is essential.
• Proven experience in the Agricultural Industry is essential.

Other

•  Must be physically fit and able to perform the above tasks.
• Must be happy to work outside in all weather.
• Must be a team player.
