Role: Finance Analyst (Supply chain)
Hours: 6 months Fixed Term Contract, Full time, 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday,
Location: Haverhill, Suffolk (Hybrid)
Salary: £35,000To £40,000 per annum (DOE)
Start Date: Immediate (ideally 7th August 2023)

The Role
Our Client is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic finance professional to join their Finance team as an Finance Analyst (Supply Chain/ Inventory). This is a fantastic role for anyone wanting to take their finance career to the next level and help drive a rapidly scaling business. You will be critical in building out their Operations Finance team, ensuring that they implement and maintain robust financial control and reporting processes that enable them to drive the business forwards. This role has huge potential to grow with them as they continue to expand, providing regular exposure to senior management and the broader business as well as the opportunity to really make a mark on how their Operations develop. There is a potential for this role to become permanent for the right candidate.
This role can be considered for Hybrid working, 3 days office based in Haverhill and 2 days WFH (work from home).
Please note the Start date for this Role is ideally Monday 7th August 2023, candidates with short notice periods may still be considered.
This is a hands-on role and your ownership includes:
● Responsible for the delivery of accurate weekly and monthly reports to Operations, Finance, and senior management.
● Perform weekly and monthly analysis of purchases, COGS, and stock variances against benchmarks, ensuring that we are on track vs plan and identifying areas for improvement.
● Work closely with our Operations team to ensure the accuracy and data integrity of our inventory and stock accounting systems.
● Update inventory system based on invoices received, investigating any differences to POs and GRNs with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
● Review and improve inventory processes as the business and manufacturing processes develop. We are a rapidly growing business; we need someone that can take us to the next level – leading the way on process automation and ensuring that our operations are data-driven.
● Reviewing material purchases against benchmarks and future forecasts, working with our supply chain team to ensure that we maintain appropriate stock cover.
● Assist the wider Finance team in month-end processes.
● Whilst your core focus will be on inventory accounting, there is an opportunity for this role to expand into other areas of Operations Finance.
Who You Are:
● Part qualified/newly qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
● Experience with Manufacturing accounting best practices.
● Impeccable eye for detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
● Have a strong sense of ownership, you set a high standard and are always looking to raise the bar further
● Track record of system and process improvement, and generating new insights
● Ability to get to grips with and report on complex data, exposure to data visualisation tools such as Looker would be advantageous
● Experience using accountancy tools and ERP software, ideally Xero (our accounting software)
● Hunger to learn cross-functionally in DTC and FMCG, spanning manufacturing, e-commerce, data
● You want to get in on something from day one – to change, create and build something
